I couldn't find an official thread for this big event, so I thought one needed to be started. How do you see this one going?
With just over ONE WEEK TO GO to THE most eagerly anticipated domestic heavyweight match up of the decade sees the Commonwealth & British Heavyweight belts up for grabs in a GENUINE 50/50 ![]() THE CHALLENGER: Matt Skelton - An hugely experienced former European, World, Commonwealth & Prizefighter challenger. The form fighter coming into this contest, with FIVE straight wins - inlcuding the scalps of recent Audley Harrison victim Ali Adams & highly regarded domestic prospect Tom Dallas. Skelton at 47 years old is "in the best shape of his life". THE TITLE HOLDER: David 'The Power Ranger' Price The current belt holder is not only the favourite for this contest, but has been earmarked for a World Title fight and likely victory aganist Wladimir Klitschko within the next 6 months. And quite rightly. With 4 wins from his last 4 against: John McDermott, Tom Dallas Sam Sexton AND Audley Harrison There isn't a heavyweight on the planet who would willingly step into a ring with The Power Ranger. Apart from Skelton. This one is LITERALLY too close to call - I'm going with a Split decision

Who said anything about Price challenging for a world title inside 6 months? He said he wants another 4 fights after Skelton.

The fight they didn't want to announce 15 mins before the press conference due to such a huge demand for tickets.

This is not a good fight, and is not worthy of a countdown thread. The poll doesn't even offer decent, obvious choices.
An obvious trolling thread... |

Good thread.
Tough fight to call this one, my first thought was Price by KO but as the TS said, Skelton is in the shape of his life and has looked awesome in his last few outings. I see the Bedford Bear working the bigger man over on the ropes and finishing him with his now trademark hammerfists in the later rounds. War Skelton - 47 years young. |
