its not that he simply went up in weight and won the champions title. he beat the living dog shit out of demarco and made him look like an amateur. nothing over rated about the win

maybe , but ironically on another post you have prince saying that brook and burns are hype jobs Burns a hype job???

Its broner who is getting hyped over one fight against a dude lucky to be where he was. Burns would have nullified Demarco easily

its a case of a roll on effect Demarco tediously overated in the 1st place Broner bashing him and everybody fixated with Broner Blinkers on.

Absolutely, fantastic performance - it just goes overboard when people claim he moved up and thwarted some great champion rather than a paper titlist, or that he beat the living dogshit out of "the man" in the division (which is still El Titere, even after a lukewarm showing - and Broner would probably spank his ass as well)

Anyone who ever saw Broner as an underdog was smoking really potent stuff.

I agree. To show a barometer. DeMarco is better than David Diaz was, but not as good as Humberto Soto was at lightweight.

Gamboa didn't exactly look too good against PDL either. PDL is still world class his blowout vs Juanma actually made him better no where near being a cab driver.

PDL only lost to the best and with the exception of the Lopez fight he gavem fits and was in those fights. I wouldn't be surprised if the more experienced PDL stopped the faster taller DeMarco in a fan friendly fight. I think DeMarco alil overrated and PDL alil underrated. PDL not the one dimensional lefty he was vs Lopez I think he proved that against Broner and Gamboa.

I think he is being overhyped at the moment. I'm not saying he's overrated but i don't really regard his win over DeMarco as a massive victory. DeMarco beat a overhyped fighter in Jorge Linares, and i think it made DeMarco look like a killer type of fighter for some of the boxing world.

I think Broner is a good boxer but i feel he's not quite yet accustomed to certain types of boxers at this moment. He's going to get better as his career progresses but to think he's the next coming of Mayweather this early is wrong in my opinion.

I think if he lost this whole Mayweather thing he would be more likeable, but perhaps acting like Mayweather is beneficial to his career in the longterm. He is getting his voice heard and getting viewers. So it isn't a bad thing for his career.

He has his whole career ahead of him to prove it to the boxing world he is up there with the Mayweathers and Pacquiaos.

Ponce De Leon is a hard guy to look good against but i always felt Gamboa was in control of the fight. I always felt he would win the fight.

I think Broner never felt comfortable in the fight and i could never really see him dominating like he has done with lesser opponents. It just seemed to me he couldn't move up a notch.

It might be different now but i felt at the time they could have fought and i believed Gamboas killer instinct would have been a real problem for ''The Problem''.

I think Gamboa would have knocked him out at that point in time.

Overrated? Rated? What are you basing Gamboa's skill and progression on? By all the great fights he is participating in? 12 rounds in 2 years? Talk about rating Gamboa when he actually fights.

Broner is Broner. He is no FMJ at the weight, but he is without peer until you get into 140. I say this and I like Gamboa. If Gamboa is who you say he is? Broner is there and Gamboa is fresh. All Gamboa has to do is call him out. So will he?

I think Gamboas management has been a big problem for him in terms of getting fights. I think he'd fight anyone they put in front of him.
