Toney instructing some forgettable brit fighters in the course American Trash Talk 101. Toney shuts them both down, even causing Eubank to stall for a full 60 seconds trying to come up with a reply, only to utter some limp dick response that made him look worse.

Toney destroys them both in the media and in the ring.

Toney was in his trash talking prime 1993-1997. Since then he's become the Holyfield of trash talkers. Truly a shame to see an ATG trash talker continue to talk trash well past his better days.

Whilst Eubank and Benn fought some of the best SMWs that were around, look at the level Toney was fighting at when SMW champ

1993 he wins the title from iran barkley a fighter who years earlier was blown away by nigel benn in 1 round and pummelled to a loss by a shot roberto duran barkley went onto lose 11 out of 25 fights following this fight and never beat anyone who was remotely good in doing so,the guy was so desperate he was even plying his trade as a HW in the late 90's against the likes of berbick and they say this era is a joke

govonor chambers a guy with a career record of 9 wins 7 losses, all 3 fights prior to toney were ko losses!

ricky thomas: won 11 lost 14,the 4 fights he had prior to toney all losses!

glenn thomas:won 29 lost 8, lost to roy jones prior to toney and finished his career with a first round ko loss to jeff lacy.

danny garcia: won 30 lost 22, was coming off losses to chris pyatt (a steve collins victim) lamar parks etc

larry prather: won 19 lost 24,lost his last 5 fights prior to the toney fight even losing to nicky piper

tony thornton: won 37 lost 7,lost to chris eubank a year earlier.

anthony hembrick: won 31 lost 8,lost to maske prior to toney and orlin norris a year earlier.

tim littles: won 27 lost 3,maybe one of his better wins, had fought mainly bums with the exception of a close UD over frankie liles, went onto lose to frankie liles in a 2nd contest following the toney fight.

vinsom durham: won 21 lost 37 enough said.

charles williams: won 37 lost 7 drew 3,lost to maske prior to toney.
(this post was improvised from ESB great Silencer, on one of his great threads)and finally the Jones fight and, That was Jones big SMW victory where Toney was alledgedly weight weakend, other than that Jones didnt do much at SMW.

Eubank and Benn though had some good genuine SMW victories

Benn beat Wharton, McClellan, Nardiello, Galvano and drew with Eubank

Eubank beat Watson, Rocchigiani, Wharton, Holmes and drew with Benn.

Eubank and Benn were fighting at a much higher level at SMW.
Toney hid from those guys
You're back!

But with more nonsense ha!

Toney didn't have a great 168 resume, but at 160 he'd beaten Nunn, and the Body Snatcher who were great fighters.

Those two wins eclipse anything Eubank did.

What did James do a year after this video?

He fought Roy Jones.

Something that Eubank wasn't interested in.

The winner of Benn vs Eubank 2 was going to fight Toney, but they drew. How did James hide from them? Did he run up to 175 because he was scared?

Roy didn't do much at 168, because after he'd beaten Toney, he knew he wouldn't be able to unify, so he moved up to 175 for a new challenge.

Benn and Eubank had better 168 resumes, because that was their best weight, and they stayed there longer than James.

Yet again, you haven't allowed for circumstances.

Overall, Toney has a better resume than both.

Regards, Loudon.

Which bit is nonsense. If any of it was, you would be able to highlight that, which you cannot

Nunn was a talented fighter who had beaten a few WWs and was schooling Toney before Toneys comeback. Nunn was Toneys best win, but was at MW not SMW where Toney didnt do much.
Different weight division and pointless talking about what Toney did at MW when he is at SMW
Quote:

Complete rubbish.
So in Loudons mind a MW win is better than anything a SMW did at SMW
Quote:

Fought Pranther

He fought Roy Jones.
Lost to R Jones, who didnt want to fight Eubank, Benn, Rocchigiani, Collins at SMW, though not surprising really

Yeah Eubank at SMW fights undefeated former SMW champ Rocchigiani, massive punching 2 weight champ and then WBC SMW champ Benn, plus a whole load of top 10 SMWs, whilst Jones and Toney, other than each other didnt go near a top SMW and you look to Eubank who has one of the best SMW resumes ever and say Eubank didnt want to know
Quote:

Your're right Toney didnt run from SMW, he went on to fight the legendary Thornton who Eubank had beaten already.
Whilst Eubank straight after Benn fought the real SMW champ, undefeated relinquished IBF SMW champ Rocchigiani. And Benn fought undefeated world class Henry Wharton.
Yeah so Eubank fights an undefeated former (relinquished) world champ, Benn fights an undefeated world class SMW and Toney fights a Eubank leftover . Yeah Loudon complete nonsense
Quote:

Did Roy try and unify?
Benn called him out when WBC champ, Collins called him out when WBO champ and Liles called him out when WBA champ.
Is this just you talking for Jones again Loudon
Quote:

Or was it that Toney and Jones moved on because they would have to face one of the fighters mentioned above.
Toney and Jones were both found to have failed tests in their careers. Could it be that with whatever they used adding additional muscle, they couldnt make the weight for as long?
Fighters who have failed tests seem to go up in weight divisions alot of times -
Jones, Toney, Mosely etc
Quote:

How? Toney had beaten Nunn at MW, Eubank had beaten Benn and I rate Benn as a better MW and SMW than Nunn.
For where fighters were at the times they were fought, Eubank and Benn have greater resumes.
Toney couldnt even beat Williams at first ask

how in the world is toney hiding from eubanks and benn when he fought nunn, mccallum, barkley and then went on to fight jirov(ruined him), holy, ruiz, guiin, rahman, oquendo and peter?

are you trying to say that james toney grew balls later as he got older?

he fought both hassim and samuel twice. two of the hardest hw hitters within the last 10 years.

toney avoided eubanks and benn?

wtf are talking about?
