It's fucking retarded. I get it, Ricky's the star and main draw in Manchester, but FFS they've got a meaningless bullshit fight where retirement for the loser ought to be mandatory (with the winner not long behind him) outranking two world title bouts...interim or not.
It shouldn't even outrank the Euro title or British title being contested on the same card. There is nothing at stake, and neither Hatton nor Senchenko are top welters at this moment. |

Round 1
Buckland is tossing in right hands and digging left hooks to the body jumping in. Foster is backing up with his turtle shell up and elbows tucked in tightly and looking to counter with the 1-2 as Buckland jumps at him. Nice jab threaded in by Foster, catching Buckland from beneath his own extended jab as they circle. Buckland fires a hard 1-2 up top and gets ducked, settling instead for a left rip to the body. Right hand counter by Foster, short and straight, clinching after connecting. Double jab to the face by Buckland while circling left, then a right hand flopping in. They trade jabs and take turns blocking shots on the high guard while rapidly waltzing in the middle of the ring. Nice body work by Buckland. 10-9 Buckland |

Round 2
Buckland is putting in leaping right uppercuts behind the jab. Chopping sidelong shots to the body, sending in both fists one after another like wrecking balls to either end of the ribcage. Foster is attempting to stifle Buckland up close by tying up. Some rough infighting, cleaned up by Mark Green. Buckland is working the right hand up into Foster's body while his left is held. 1-2 by Foster, circling off the ropes and catching Buckland in a crouch with some more head shots. Slapping overhand right by Buckland, missing, clinch by Foster. Body shots by Buckland, but Foster drives through with his own drumming counter body shots forcing his way through and landing past Buckland's arms. Wildly swung left hook takes Foster into a spin, with Buckland draped over him in a brief clinch. Body shots and uppers to the face by Buckland. 10-9 Buckland 20-18 Buckland |

The 2nd was closer, I only really had Gary edging it on work rate. Foster's quality is starting to pull away.

The PrimeTime commentators thought Foster took the 2nd, making it level on their unofficial card.

Round 3
Buckland is whipping the right hand up into Foster's chest and jabbing on the way out as he skips free of clinches. Foster misses a 1-2 to the body and winds up charging into a headlock. Lots of tying up now as Buckland's attacks slow down some. Buckland misses an uppercut and Foster counters off the ropes with a straight right. Buckland pushes him into the next set of ropes with an outheld left forearm and some rights driven up to the gut. Foster misses a 1-2 as Buckland ducks. Clinch. Jab to the body by Buckland. 10-9 Buckland 30-27 Buckland |

Round 4
Buckland is jabbing in with an overreaching left and then slapping over the top with his right hand, catching Foster behind the neck. Foster drills out a few counters while stepping around him. Some clinch fighting, both hugging tightly and pushing off to chuck a shot by turn. Little involvement needed by Green. Nice right hand by Foster at mid-range. Buckland reaches with a right hand from the hip out of a crouch and then begins to hook away as Foster shells up. Left hook to the body by Buckland. Big salvo to the body by Buckland barging in as Foster retreats with his guard up and waist bent. Buckland misses a right hand, and Foster counters with one. 10-9 Foster 39-37 Buckland |
