I like Mitchell, he is exciting and comes to fight, but I really think we have seen his best and its just not good enough at elite world level.
I think his loss to Burns showed us two things; firstly that Ricky is a level or two above Kevin, and secondly that Mitchell is most likely 'just' a very good domestic fighter. I think he possibly could win a world title against a lesser champion, but I think that Mitchell would have to be at his best and the champion would have to be pretty average. I still think there is a place for Mitchell on the domestic scene. Like I said he his exciting, he is quite often in good scraps, he is a 'name' and he has a good following. For me Matchroom would definitely be the best way for him to go. Just no more bloody fight posters Kevin! |

You couldnt blame W*rren for not being 100% behind Mitchell after the Kats fight, where aparently he lost a lot of money, with Mitchell saying post fight that he hadnt trained properly and a load of other excuses... Although i would certainly not justify W*rren alegedly not paying him

Burns fight mate, heard it from the horses mouth afterwards... Will no doubt come out in time......P.S. No excuses tho kevin said Ricky was too sharp and heavier fisted than thought and that the better man won......
