Without boxing he has no reason to get back into shape or to stay in shape. Every time he stops boxing he swells up.
With boxing out of the equation is he heading for an early grave/heart attack? Will he stay off the drugs also? (without the high of 1000's of people calling your name or the thrill of boxing, what else is he gonna get high from?) I sure hope he maintains his going straight mentality/ progress. |

Hopefully the hard work it took Hatton to get back into boxing shape will be a wakeup call to him about the shape he was in previously. Like most of us he likes a beer a little too much.
The good news is his future is in his own hands, and the bad news is his future is in his own hands. |

I'm sure his weight gain was accounting to his "depression". Which is in quotation marks because I'm interested to see if he's gone to the doctors with it...

no one ever thought freddie roach who was more of a brawler would make a good trainer. mickey ward is an in your face slugger but he seems to be teaching his trainers the boxing fundamentals.
