great opportunity for both fighters i agree. vic is going to make a fight of it. he knows he needs to stamp some authority on the fight with some power early, which could spark a war. otherwise john will walk straight through him. vic has the goods. he's got power, speed, comes to fight, is fit, and has a name.

john needs the activity, and vic is a good name on his resume. he would probably see vic as a small threat, or an easy win. i think hed get a harder fight than he thinks.

id love to see the fight. john vs a known quantity. it would showcase john without the risk of fighting other big name fighters.

absolutely agree. i dont understand johns inactivity during his career. this would be an easy fight to put together and sell....i just dont understand why it isnt looked at to keep john active?

Vic has no business at featherweight when he hasn't won a major world title at 118 or 122.

He should focus on trying to secure a title shot for a major belt in one of those divisions.

It doesn't matter which one (although the vacant IBF 122lb strap looks inviting).

At this stage of Vic's career, they should try to match him against guys who he has a decent chance of beating (and not just a puncher's chance).

That's responsible management that puts the interests of the fighter first.

In terms of Vic's next fight, I'm hearing he will fight in January. I've no idea where or against whom but given it's in January, there must be some chance of him being on the Geale v Mundine undercard.

John doesn't fight much but I hear he makes heaps of money with sponsorship and commercials....so the belt is a vehicle for his cash stream..the guy is hugely underated.

I dont think Vic cares who he fights, if johns title was offered he would take it! Anyone at anytime, more fighters should follow suit

..John's defends twice a year..has done since he won his first title..and done it for 10 years straight..err..well 9 years anyway...might be the key to his longivity..
