I've always been surprised that he didn't go down from that shot. He got hit at the worst possible time with a completely flush hook. He momentarily loses his legs and wobbles, but he recovers very quickly.

Getting hurt and recovering fast has nothing to do with a good chin. Getting cracked and NOT getting hurt would indicate a good chin. What Floyd showed their was a great recovery time... which has much more to do with his great conditioning and stamina.
I'm not saying that Floyd has a bad chin, of course he doesn't. That would have came out by now, even though he doesn't get hit flush often. However, Floyd's conditioning and stamina are what gives him a quick recovery time when he his hurt. BTW... are you going to keep ignoring the fact that Zab and Mayweather's feet didn't even touch? |

It looks Like a legit knock down to me.
But who knows unless you were actually ring side it is pretty difficult to tell otherwise IMHO. |

Nah they do touch.
Floyd got his foot trapped by Zabs so couldn't pull it back / I'd say it's good chin if you are able to take a shot that probably should put you down and only get stunned for a few seconds |

You have to ask yourself, if judah blocked instead of throwing the hook, would Floyd have fell over and used his glove to catch himself?
If you believe he would have still fell, then it's not a knockdown. If you believe he would not have fallen without the punch, then it is a knockdown. |

How does his foot get stuck? How do you see that? His lead foot doesn't move until his back foot does after getting knocked off balance, and at that point, Judah's already moved out the way.

Mayweather lunges forward with all of his weight on his front foot, it is not even possible for him to pull it back. So you are right in that he couldn't, but it had nothing to do with Zab's foot.
Verdict - knockdown. This isn't even a diss towards Mayweather, more just giving credit to Judah. |

It was a knockdown, since Judah punched him.. If he would have gone down without Judah's punch it wouldn't be, but I don't think that would have happened..

Was he knocked down when his gloves touched the floor or was he simply floored?
That is a question hard to answer. You should ask the idiot - in - residence Michiganwarrior for clarification. |
