What has Sturm done lately? He got a gift against Macklin, and he just got outhustled by Geale. Sturm was never that good, but at his best, he was better than he showed in those two outings. By the way, old ass 60 year old Javier Castillejo, stopped, a younger better version of Sturm. Which doesn't say much for Macklin and Geale.

That's why Golovkin needs fight/beat a strong mid-level guy who is an undefeated KO artist, and who currently has a lot of network exposure & hype behind him. Someone like, oh I dunno, Thurman maybe? Last edited by Cableaddict; 11-28-2012 at 11:28 PM. |

1: The fans get to see an exciting match, which might actually not be a walk-in-the-park for Golovkin. (We might even see Golovkin's chin & heart tested, which we really haven't seen yet.) 2: The networks get an exciting fight to broadcast, with two explosive fighters that have recently been in the public eye. 3: Golovkin gets a reasonably important win on his resume, which will help him get the fights he really wants. 4: Thurman would most likely lose, and he desperately needs a dose of cold hard reality. One devastating loss could be the best thing that ever happens to him. Imagine how good he could be if he started to actually worry about defense. |

![]() Lou DiBella ducked GGG too, he doesn't want Martinez in the ring with him. They all duck GGG. Quote:
