Default Oscar De la Hoya vs Thomas Hearns, 147, somebody gets KO'd, or decision?

Extreme speed, great power, and comin in the bigger man with Tommy Vs.

Great technical boxer, Phenomenal left hook, And one of the slickest WW in the past 20 years or so in DLH....

One of the slickest? Slow down partner. He was a very good boxer, I will even go as far as saying great, but not slick. Mayweather, Whitaker, Toney, those are slick fighters.

To be fair the last 20 year doesn't go that far back..haven't been to many great defensive fighters at the weight in that time.

Hearns is just a different level IMO..Hoya retires on his stool after 10.

Maybe I could have worded it different, By slickest I really mean A great pure boxer, and slick with his punches, and also a great finisher. i agree with you. He was great.

I would never say DLH had the defense with likes of guys like Frazier, Toney, Whitaker, or SRL for that matter.

It really doesnt have to go any further than 20 years..And im thinkin you might be on to something, Tommy has a very good chance of puttin him out between the 8th and 10th.

Would you say the same thing even in a 15 rounder?

No disrespect. I know thats your guy from your avatar, but Frazier was not known for his defense. If that were the case, he should have been able to dodge some of those slow, heavy shots from Foreman. His bobbing and weaving was only a set up to throw the left hook.

None taken..But bobbin and weavin, great head work and constant movement is great defense, Look at how he was makin Ali miss big shots in theyre first fight..Foreman just had Joes number and was just to much for him, Name me a good fighter that Foreman fought where he never exposes a mans defense with pure brute force. So im sorry but Foreman was a bad example my man.

Thats a bold ass statement, but im not disputing it, lets face is, Tommy would have been the favor, but anything goes, If DLH jumps on him early or just straight outbox him which is likely too, this could happen.

I wouldnt be shocked if de la hoya stopped him in the later rounds. Hearns looked very unhealthy and drained at 147, its like he never saw food in his life. If this fight lasts over 10 rounds, I can see oscar stopping him.
