Cherry picked opponent. Old and slow lumbering opponent with feather fists and a chin that won't hold up to Price's powerfull right hand. Not a threat to his slow feet, bad footwork and china chin.
Tony Thompson is not a bad boxer though, and I think he will frustrate Price before he is knocked out. |

Thompson is cherry picked. He's slow, old, doesn't hit too hard and doesn't have an iron chin. Thompson will not beat Price imo, think he can frustrate him though.

Well, if it's true then I'm quite impressed with how quickly Price is willing to fight again. I've never been a believer in prospects taking 6-7 months off between fights.

Why doesn't he give an unbeaten guy whose been ducked and can't get a decent fight like Leif Larsen a chance? I think Thompson would last into the mid rounds but he's not a serious threat and he'll just be there for a payday.

Thompson is an excellent pick for Price's next fight. Thompson is a solid veteran who is too past it to win but should still have enough left to make Price work and give him some rounds. When you consider the fight is only 2-3 months away, Price's 16th fight, and Thompson is probably a top 15ish heavyweight than this is a good fight.
After Thompson it would be good to see Price fight a younger guy though.Thompson, if the fight happens, would be Price's third straight guy 40 or over. Thompson next and Chisora around May-June would be a very credible schedule for Price. |

Price is not getting the experience needed at world level. Where does he go after he bombs out old TT. The big jump up in class will hit him hard. Its going to be Bute all over again.

It's the text book British way as laid down by Mickey Duff and Bruno, the jump in class always came in a world title fight, a jump too far. I'm not sure Price will get four attempts like Bruno did. |

Good fight for his career , provided he can get through it , but a dont see much people being able to cause him much problems ,
He seems as if hes got a good head on his sholders and hes going the right route for a mega fght between either vitali or wladamir , Time will tell |
