I remember that like it was yesterday. I figured Gutierrez was good to give Clottey a go like that but then I realize Clottey like to not throw punches.

Round 1

Dolton jabs at Gutierrez and moves left. Clinch. Gutierrez tries some overhands to the head behind a plunging body jab as Dolton twists his neck and bends his upper body to slip. More jabs by Dolton, catching about the face as he comes forward trying to get inside and chip away.

Round 2

Gutierrez is shoving his way in, left hand held low, attempting to thrust his shoulder into Dolton and clip him with high hooks upstairs once close. Dolton drifts into the ropes and lets Gutierrez press on him until begged off by the ref. Dolton catches Gutierrez with a flush 1-2 to the nose the next time he comes in. Gutierrez comes pressing again, and Dolton goes to the body with some meaty left hooks while bending his knees. Gutierrez walks through some jabs and smothers Dolton against the ropes.

20-18 Dolton

Some dumb ass question they are asking Briggs. "Do you think encouraging them (younger boxers in his camp) help". What kind of a dumb ass question is that.

He had a real good scrap with Joshua Clottey on espn FNF a few years ago. Since then it has been all down hill for him. He has become fodder for every up and coming guy near his weight class.

He's had some bright moments since then. Gave both Baysangurov & Abregu a startle.

Shannon Briggs is the special guest color commentator.

He's sprinkling in some insights here and there, at about the same rate as he used to light up CompuBox.

I'd seen once or twice though where Shannon impressed me quite a bit doing commentary.
