http://www.denisboytsov.ru/sites/def...128-wa0000.jpg

28.11.2012:

During the preparation for the bout, which was scheduled for October 12, Denis Boytsov injured elbow. This will bring a lot of pain and discomfort. Surveys showed that it is necessary to have surgery on his elbow. Yesterday, in a clinic in Hamburg, this operation was successfully carried out.

"The operation went well, I feel great. Unfortunately, we had to" fall" for some time from the process of training. Injury received during sparring, has not allowed me to continue to train for a fight, there was a severe pain in the elbow. Everybody now in the past, when I restore again into battle. Thanks to all my fans for their support! "- said Denis Boytsov.

Hopefully he heals so he can go back to fighting once every 2 years.

The guy is more fragile than an Italian leg lamp.

Damn, another surgery? Anybody else starting to get the feeling that this guy will have to retire due to injuries before he even beats a top 10 guy? I feel bad for the guy, but geeze. Time to think of long term health here.

Boytsov is awesome, he hits extremely hard, cuts the ring off, knows how to box. Vitali finally ended his injuries, Boytsov is still young. Can't wait to see him fight again...............

What type injury did Boytsov have to his elbow? Was it triceps related or was it to the bone? How long is his recovery?

Shame this guy is plagued by constant injuries, he's clearly very talented.

Yeah, I agree. The way he is managed doesn't help his cause, too.

Hope he recovers quickly from the injury and gets back to training. I'd like to see him fight a few fights in the U.S., maybe for NBC or ESPN Friday night fights. The guy has the right style to attract fans, he just needs the exposure.

I gave up on boystov 2 years ago. Ridiculously managed career. Waste.
