Default Dimitrenko training with Tommy Brooks, eyes December tuneup fight

Just came across this:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Seems Dimitrenko is working with Tommy Brooks. They're eying a comeback fight against TBA in December and will work towards a title shot in 2013. Brooks says he found many flaws in Dimitrenko's previous style and says lots of work needs to be done.

After 1-2 tuneups I think Dimitrenko needs to come out of his shell and maybe challenge guys like Fury/Helenius or get a rematch with Pulev (if he loses his title shot vs. Wlad in 2013).

I think he should take 1-2 before taking on TBA, I don't want to see him quit again

Style aside Sasha has always lacked heart and toughness and i dont see that changing. He could be a good gatekeeper for the top 10 to see if guys are legit contenders but i don't see him ever being more than that.

I agree I don't think he'll ever be more than that. At the end of the day he'll always be a talented boxer with a decent skill set but the heart of 5 year old who's about to start crying. He won't make it past the european level, I don't think he'll get a title shot anymore, he should have taken them when they were offered to him.

I think he'd make a great tune-up opponent for Fury in 2013. Fury has heart and can fight, but isn't very skilled. Dimitrenko is the opposite.

Glad he is sticking with it. If he only had some heart he could be a champion.

What hurt Dimitrenko was his lack of activity and his reluctance to step up in class with the exception of Chambers.
His people like Boytsov's people are failing.

But,Dimitrenko has some up side and if he stays active and improves who knows.

He said he was going to come to America and build a fan base here. Might be a good idea.

Glad to hear he aint retiring. He's still a legit top 30, and why not take a few fights and then get a few more decent paydays.

I mean, he'd beat the Bydenkos and the Abells of the world. And hell, Arreola and Rahman can get huge fights with those types of stay busy fights, why can't guys like Sasha.

Great.

Dimitrenko should have train much earlier with Tommy Brooks.

Maybe it is not to late.

Dimitrenko needs a good trainer like Brooks, he needs to work very hard or it's all over.

I don't see him winning a world title, but he should definitely listen to Tommy Brooks. Mr. Brooks is a great trainer and will bring out the best in him.

Are you sure it's Tommy Brooks?

I know Universum signed a trainer named Anthony (Tony) Brooks.

Yeah. His problem is that he he turned his back on Chambers, and got got kn****ed out by a jab aganst Pulev.

No trainer is going to change that.

Tommy Brooks trained Vlad for his fight with Mercer. Dimitrenko needs a miracle to win a title. He just does not have it..............
