I doubt it happens. Somebody will be injured. Good fight for an up an comer looking to build a half ass resume and then cash in. Price is going no where. He will be fine beating 45 and 50 year olds. How about Arreola. Just kidding of course.

I think it's time Price fights someone under 40 years of age.

[quote=dinovelvet;14303292]Joke of a fight. He's going nowhere fighting these meatsacks at 30 years old. Thompson was clearly done last time out.[/QUOTE

Thompsons last fight was for a World title earlier this year, which was a joke of a defence for Wlad, so despite Price's age, its a good fight for him at this stage of his career, you have to remember he has only had 15 pro bouts and slowly stepping up and keeping active. Four fights this year, two of which were former world title challengers. I appreciate both wash up 40 + and never anything special to begin with but think he is heading in the right direction.

Rumour is that after Thompson, he is looking at Chisora in July with a view of a World title shot at the end of the year.

I'm losing my patients with Price fans

David Price is fighting Tony Thompson next! He just fought Matt Skelton! Not only is Price fighting stiffs hes fighting old washed up stiffs!

No Tyson is gonna fight Vitali Klitschko next the World Champion. He is not ducking Price! Price is not even close to being on the same level as Fury! Price you big dumb idiot what part dont you understand if someone doesnt smash your glass chin and you get a higher ranking Fury vs Price is gonna be the biggest non Klitschko Heavyweight fight in 15 years

Thompson clearly won the whole #1 round and possibly edged the third.

Thompson is decent opponent what bothers me:
a) Tony looked mentally broken in the post fight conference, after two shots at a brother he is very ulikely to get a shot at Vitali which should demotivate him really bad
b) Why is Price fighting southpaws? None of the recognized top dogs is a southpaw

It seems his only route to building his name, calling out Fury that is.

Let em keep talking it up. If he keeps winning, your right, it will be a huge fight.

Did you see him against Wlad? He just tried to coast through the fight without getting hit. He wasn't there to win or even make an atempt. The fight is a waste of time and does absolutely nothing for Price apart from putting another win on his record.

ok, no point in even further going into why thompson sucks , you clearly beat me up on the point that "mandatory contender" tony thompson gets credit for winning the first round against wlad and possiblly the 3rd. in fact, may be even better than ever at 42 years old.

stoopidest fight ever. Tony Thompson my god...Hit him in the obliques and he is DONE. Has no chin, 1st round mauling KO by Price.

They could at least go after somebody a little better, this just be another Audley part 2 beating.

Price does not pick easy opponents. Thomson may be 42 and he may have 2 devastating knockout losses back to back to Klitschko, he may be unmotivated, tired and battle worn, but...fck, I don't know where I am going with this....

Is this official now?

I think Price should fight Wilder, then Chisora then whoever holds the WBA title.

This thread should be removed.

Thompson camp has received nothing, and his trainer thinks Tony is headed to retirement.

If Thompson was in top shape, why would Price be calling him out? Thompson would appear a big step up but the big intangible is if the Tiger's heart is in it.
