Canelo vs Chavez Jr would top it. Arum can't control Jr anymore and if Canelo really wants a big money fight, its Jr. It would outsale Cotto easily.
Another one is vs Martinez. Martinez now well known by Mexican fans, is a sure hit. I don't think it can outsale a Cotto fight but it will come very close.

It isn't about money. It is a matter of doing what is right for boxing. Cotto has taken alot of punishment in his career and at this point the fight does not look competitive. Cotto lost the fight which means the fight loses its attractiveness.

Gee, let's all forget that an important part of boxing is the aspect of good competition. There's this thing called, "The best fighting the best." Seems like a lost art these days. Yeah, that's put all that stuff aside and give as much money out of our pockets as we can because that's what it's all about. Money.
![]() I'm not completely against Canelo-Cotto. But it shouldn't happen in May. Let Cotto get back on the winning track. He's lost two in a row. Canelo is still very young. He's got plenty of time to cash in on big money fights. It's time he step up in competition to prove to us he deserves the money. Lara, Vanes, Kirkland, Angulo...I'll settle for any of these guys if Canelo isn't ready for Trout yet. |
