Alright, then in that case Pacquaio has a win by proxy because Floyd FLAT OUT AVOIDED Margarito.
If lil, tiny Cotto who runs out of gas in every fight could push Floyd against the ropes and bully him like he was his wife, Margarito would lay a beating on Floyd that Floyd may not recover from. The writing was on the wall. Floyd didn't want ANYTHING to do with Margarito. The worst thing that could have happened for Floyd was when Margarito beat Cotto down. That's when Mayweather went on vacation for 2 years. That's some cowardly shit after he told the man, straight up to his FACE, that he would fight him. |

No, obviously. It'd be like giving Foreman a win by proxy over Ali just because he bounced Frazier around the ring a couple times.
Different fighters, different styles, different fights. The Marquez win obviously looks better, but he doesn't get a "win over Pacquiao," or any nonsense like that. |

And Baldo was old as hell, short as hell, and had short arms. Mayweather had no business fighting Baldo. Nobody wanted that fight. Margarito would have kept Floyd pinned against the ropes, and layed a beating on his ass. Floyd would watch helplessly as his shots had no effect. He would be lucky to survive. It would be worse for Mayweather if he fought the Margarito Pacquaio fought becuase Floyd's footspeed was starting to slip and Margo had 18 lbs on Pacquaio. |

If you don't think Floyd retired than face Margarito, then you don't value over $100 million of revenue that Floyd cost himself for being scared for two years. Oh, before he came back and tested the water by making a lightweight go up to welterweight and then cheated him on the scales.

HELL ****ING NO!!!
I'm a fan of both guys but stop making excuses for floyd not taking the fight, and fighter A giving fighter B hell in 3 fights = fighter C beating B because he outclassed A does not work! A=Marquez B=Pac C=Floyd |

Only people who know nothing about boxing use the triangle theory...if Marquez beats Pacquiao it's because he knows him better, and because their styles counteract the other... jeez

Actually if JMM beats Pac it would prove how much more of a coward Floyd is.
The moment Floyd ducked Pac, there was no scenario that He would look good. Should He decide to fight Pac next year, its way too late. |
