Maskaev? (Beat Rahman twice!) Zolkin? (Beat Tubbs, Carl williams, Tillis!) etc

Luan Krasniqi and Timo Hoffman deserve a mention too (Not top 10 though granted...)

I think Zolkin deserves a place simply because he was the first! Historical fighter in that sense.

Adamek deserves a mention. Beat Bank's who took Seth Mitchells 0! Beat Cunningham who stopped Marcko Huck! Albeit at CW. He's still a world class HW though not top 10.

I would rank both Chagaev and Ibragimov ahead of Golota, there is no way he would beat two southpaws with better fundamentals.

I'll say it, somebody like Pulev today might have given Golota all he could handle.

Well he did legitimately win a world title (not a paper one) and sought out unification, first with Chagaev then with Klitschko. H2H he would school Povetkin.

Golota is a strange one...

In those 2 Bowe fights he dominated one of the best HWs of the era!

In his prime he was an Elite-Level talented fighter but also a mental midget, no one denies it. Past prime he improved mentally but his great jab was gone with an accident and a serious chunk of his athleticism was just gone with time.

He still should be a champ in the division abandoned by Lewis and not yet taken over by K2 but he was shamefully robbed vs Ruiz and the Byrd fight was very debateable too, Hardly anyone denies that! Great fight though..

His fight with the giant american Corey Sanders was just an absolute slugfest, he was impressive vs Witherspoon (Who to this day swears golota hit him harder than any fighter ever!) and if he had committed more in the fight with michael grant he would have took him out early too, the bowe fights are 2 of my favourite HW clashes ever so for that he always has me as a fan but ultimately he fought on way past his best and just couldn't get it together!

Had his head always been in tact, he would surely be knocking on or just below the lewis/Klitschkos level, but it wasn't. That's all there is to it.

Enjoyed maskaev fight's and credit must be given for those 2 Rahman KO's!

Powerful fighter who was well conditioned but his chin was not one of the best I've seen in recent years. Not sure where i would place him...

Style wise he was a nightmare...Quick southpaw who fought smart! Awkward fighter. Nice pop to his punches too. Not sure if he beat's a fully fit & focused Povetkin though.

I remember Tyson loved this guy. Said he had simliar hand speed to himself, Tyson wanted to be in his corner for the Wlad fight but couldn't leave the state after legal issues.

Lyakhovich however may deserve a place for the Brewster fight alone! Best HW fight of the last decade. Insane fight. Probably ruined both men!

Byrd, Brock and Brewster (at his best!) were the best american HW's of K2 era! Big fan. I think that at his best, he was a bit of a dreadnought for anybody to deal with.
