Resume not even close to living up to his talent. Never had to fight a prime HOF'er his whole career. Which is impressive when you think he been around for 14 years.

I have to agree with this, but it wasn't really no HOF'er doing his time!

I understand yes maybe there are a few we would have loved to see but he still has fought top fghters ranked by respectable organizations and champions...CONSISTANTLY...that is very respectable.

Is the gripe because he doesnt fight every boogey man we build up to be the next fighter to beat him or because f his arrogant ways and extremly confident manner do we expect him to fight and clean out every fighter who looks good from 154 down...hell if 160lbers say they would come down to fight floyd at 154(even though that isnt his best weight) some of you expect him to fight them.

This is what i mean when i feel BOXING wise Floyd is more respeted than pac....there is a bar set for Floyd that is pretty damn high.

I also think people forget when Floyd wasn't in this position and was still building a name....he was OPEN to ALL fights...there wasn't fighters knocking down doors trying to fight him like now that he is a cash cow. the Cash Cows during his time also wanted no parts of Floyd...who still was a very high top ten P4P fighter.

there are some legit gripes i recognize that but there are also some pure hate.

You guys and this prime stuff.

Not everybody can have a win as great as Roberto Duran, okay? In fact, nooobody does.

I'm greatly looking forward to seeing $ back in the ring, and you should be too!!

U are spot on, I couldn't have said it better. People forget when u become the man in boxing, u don't fight everybody as if u would when building ur name! People was saying he ducked a prime Mosley, Kostya Tszyu, Cotto. If u go back when Mayweather was champ of 130, Mosley was champ at 135 which Mayweather was calling Mosley out. Mosley even commentated one of his fights and Mayweather called him out! Mosley didn't want to fight him because he was moving up to fight DLH. That's why that fight didn't happen early on. Kostya Tszyu was a showtime fighter, while Mayweather was a HBO fighter. HBO and showtime couldn't come to an agreement on who would show the fight, that's why that fight never happened. When Mayweather moved up too 140, Cotto team said Cotto wasn't ready for Mayweather after Mayweather Ko'ed Cotto friend and sparring partner Henry Bruseles, which had a fighting style like Cotto and same trainer as Cotto! That's why that fight never happened earlier.

Not sure what your point is. Nobody ever said that Floyd isn't on ATG level, or that he wasn't in the running for GOAT lightweight. What they're saying is that he's scared of Pacquiao, and that's true.
