The Tucker fight is one of my favourite Tyson fights, despite not being one of Tyson's most spectacular efforts. Masterful jabbing by Mike later in the fight.

I wouldn't call it exposing Mike. I sort of remember a left uppercut lifting Mike off the ground and rocking Mike, but Mike came back and pretty much dominated the fight. Mike was inexperienced in 1987, but he was fighting often. After Berbick in Nov. , Mike fought Bonecrusher, Pinklon Thomas,Tony Tucker, Tyrell Biggs, Larry Holmes, Tony Tubbs and Michael Spinks This was from Nov. 1986-June of 1988. But for the Tucker fight, didn't Mike win this fight easily on all the scorecards?

I'm still waiting for someone to rock that jheri curl/mullet throwback Tucker encompassed which was so prevalent throughout the great decade called the 80's.

I remember Tucker stunning Mike early in the fight and it kept Mike honest and at bay but Tucker did fall into the survival mode but I am not sure if it was the hand. I do remember Mike getting hit early and he fought less of an aggressive fight but Tucker just stopped doing offensive

I love the Tyson nut huggers who have to change the topic and bring up Wlad. So for the sake of those trolls lets go there.
Wlad got knocked down by several fighters, just like Tyson did. Bottom line is Wlad got up, Tyson did not. Wlad became a better fighter after his losses, he changed his game and improved...Tyson did not. |

Probably mikes best victory. It was thoroughly dominant and he proved himself to be more than just a 4 round bomber.
Tucker was top class and arguably the next best of the Tyson era. |

Tony could've done better against Mike, but in all honesty, he would not have beaten him.He wasn't developed enough. If his career had developed the right way, he could've beaten Tyson, but it was not to be.
