Even though they are not fighting each other, this Saturday both Gamboa and Rigondeaux are actually competing to see " who is the best " among the Cuban boxers. While they don't talk about it, the competition is there.
Most fans tend to pick Gamboa " as most exciting " and Rigo as " more schooled and skilled ". This Saturday both of them have a chance to shine and to show us their great boxing skills. Who will shine most? |

To be honest I think Gamboa has the easier fight this Sat. Compare his opponent to Poonsawat who is fighting Rigo.
So with that being said, Gamboa, regardless of his inactivity, should shine and look spectacular. Saludos Bon Bon! |

Actually, Rigo was moved back to Donaire Arce card December 15. It makes more sense.
They're both, no doubts the best current Cuban pro boxers . |

I love watching these guys fight, but I think so far Gamboa is the best. Boxes very good despite his height, great speed and ko power, gets dropped and doesn't get scared or start to run. The great Rigo gets stunned and starts looking real worried. Pela los ojitos como pajarito. Gamboa either boxeo or fajando he puts on a show. I don't think Rigo's tactical approach is for everyone.

Hey Cuban Bon Bon, I don't know what's the better Cuban product. Malta Hatuey or Gamboa. |

Gamboa will always look 'better'...but Rigo is better.
Addendum: Don't wanna come off like that on Gamboa...awesome fighter to watch. But very impressed with Rigo. Last edited by dpw417; 12-06-2012 at 02:49 PM. |

Gamboa skilled & exciting. Rigo very skilled & less casual fan friendly. Where do Lara, Solis, and Yudel Jhonson rank in the Cuban rankings?
