i don't understand the idea that a fighter needs more time to learn or isn't ready for some of the top guys when there holding a version of the title. They should never have fought for one in the first place if they were just going to hold it and avoid challenges and mandatories. Its amazing how chavez jr got away with it for so long, for almost 2 years the guy avoided his mandatory and fought guys like manfredo, zbik, rubio and lee. And Now alvarez (who fights in one of the best divisions right now) is doing a worse farcical then jr by bullying lightwelter weights and old men past there sell by date. Its not fair on fighters who are put on stand by to wait around until the hype job whos holding the belts is ''ready''

why risk fighting a high level fighter when you can fight a low level fighter for the same payday - that's their logic, I mean wouldn't you do the same?

Canelo is beyond a joke now... He'll likely beat up Cotto in his next fight despite the loss to Trout.
