Apparently a 3 years older Marquez whos the same weight with a couple of extra pounds of muscle with a couple of less pounds of fat, makes the fight a whole different prospect.
....listen, unless Marquez has imnproved 100% in the last 3 years, it still end up being a wide unanimous decision for Mayweather. The size and strength wont make the slightest difference. |

let's see. it's marquez' first fight above 135. lifted rocks to bulk-up and floyd cheated him on the scales. it's the same marquez that pac fought.

It's completely ridiculous to claim that Marquez is better now. He was pfp no. 2 going into the PBF fight and much younger. He has more developed shoulders now. Big deal. That slows him down, but improves his power a little. That's all.

Its how funny how PacTards legitimise Pacquaio's win over Cotto at a 145 catch weight by saying "it's only 2 pounds"
Yet when it comes to Floyd v Marquez, those 2 pounds over become the equivelent of Floyd bringing a sledgehammer into the ring. |

It's a good win because Mayweather came back after a fifteen month layoff and displayed much of the speed and skill against an opponent who should have been able to have a few moments of success against him, given his technical acumen and accuracy. The fact that JMM couldn't win a single round, and could barely land a meaningful punch is an indicator of how good a boxer FMJ really is.
But it's not a great win, because it was JMM's first foray into the WW division, and because of the whole fiasco that took place at the scales. So Mayweather deserves credit...Just not as much as he would have received under different circumstances. |

He fought a bloated marquez coming up in weight while not making weight himself. This was marquez during his piss drinking days, pre heredia. Hes a whole new animal now. Still mayweather will always beat marquez because of his style and his performance was still awe inspiring in that fight.

**** no, Mayweather deserves no credit for that cherrypick
Quote:
(Cheating Marquez on the scales was just the icing on the cake for that disgraceful cherrypicking act) That bloated, sluggish version of Marquez was the worst we have EVER seen and Floyd gets zero credit or respect for that Quote:
