Apparently a 3 years older Marquez whos the same weight with a couple of extra pounds of muscle with a couple of less pounds of fat, makes the fight a whole different prospect.

....listen, unless Marquez has imnproved 100% in the last 3 years, it still end up being a wide unanimous decision for Mayweather.

The size and strength wont make the slightest difference.

Marquez is on steroids now. Of course it would make a difference in a rematch.

let's see. it's marquez' first fight above 135. lifted rocks to bulk-up and floyd cheated him on the scales. it's the same marquez that pac fought.

Didn't marquez take a fight at welterweight or junior welter vs some no name after he fought pac a third time?

He had time to test out the higher weight

this is what i mean when i say "time to adjust"/"try out"

didn't he fight floyd as a first time welter?

and to answer, no, pacs win over cotto was not good

The thing is, Marquez is very well conditioned in this fight, he also has angel hernandez.

It's completely ridiculous to claim that Marquez is better now. He was pfp no. 2 going into the PBF fight and much younger. He has more developed shoulders now. Big deal. That slows him down, but improves his power a little. That's all.

Pacquiao fought Cotto at 145 pounds catchweight in which 2 pounds under 147 pound limit but yet many many people gave pac credit. So why cant mayweather get really big credit? He not only beat marquez but beat marquez in a damn shut out. And mayweather like pacquiao had a 4 pound weight advantage over marquez. Now people will say (mayweather i bet weigh in at 165 pound at fight night) <<<lmfao really? you people act like mayweather has balloon all the way in clottey weight before many times on fight night lolol. If you people dont give mayweather credit for his win over marquez now then nobody should be giving pac credit for beating any fighters ever since he moved up to ww.
mayweather a welterweight and pound for pound #1 fighter and the champion vs

JMM who had over 50 fights at featherweight, and a hand full at 130 and 135

no fights at 140

no fights at 147

and at an age when most featherweights have been retired because little guys career spans are very short

**** NO HE GETS ZERO CREDIT FOR THAT

Its how funny how PacTards legitimise Pacquaio's win over Cotto at a 145 catch weight by saying "it's only 2 pounds"

Yet when it comes to Floyd v Marquez, those 2 pounds over become the equivelent of Floyd bringing a sledgehammer into the ring.

good win in retrospect, not great win cause it was juans first at the weight ands the weight issue with Mayweather but solid B+ win. Money a G

It's a good win because Mayweather came back after a fifteen month layoff and displayed much of the speed and skill against an opponent who should have been able to have a few moments of success against him, given his technical acumen and accuracy. The fact that JMM couldn't win a single round, and could barely land a meaningful punch is an indicator of how good a boxer FMJ really is.

But it's not a great win, because it was JMM's first foray into the WW division, and because of the whole fiasco that took place at the scales.

So Mayweather deserves credit...Just not as much as he would have received under different circumstances.

Absolutely. He dropped Marquez a lot better than manny. Plus Marquez couldn't hit him in the ass.

He fought a bloated marquez coming up in weight while not making weight himself. This was marquez during his piss drinking days, pre heredia. Hes a whole new animal now. Still mayweather will always beat marquez because of his style and his performance was still awe inspiring in that fight.

It's never been about ¨2 pounds over¨, it's about Mayweather sitting on his ass, while Marquez had to kill himself to make weight for the first time and was unable to focus on training, and then fought in the worst shape of his life against a naturally much bigger guy who ALSO cheated him on the scales.

(Cheating Marquez on the scales was just the icing on the cake for that disgraceful cherrypicking act)

That bloated, sluggish version of Marquez was the worst we have EVER seen and Floyd gets zero credit or respect for that
