How exactly does Pacquiao have a better resume than Mayweather?

When the WW division was hot... Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, what did Floyd do? He retired. Pac MOVED UP to fight them. Mayweather came back to fight JMM, made him move way up to fight him, and even at that cheated him on the scales.
Floyd's resume is good. Pac's resume, when taken in to account of his size, is rediculous. 99% of esb never thought he'd beat DLH, after that it was due to DLH weight drain, then 95% didn't think he could beat Hatton, Cotto, so on and so on. Mayweather has beaten some of them... Pac DOMINATED them. Only guy Mayweather dominated that pac couldn't was JMM, but again made him move up and cheated him on the scales doesn't make it look to great.

I look at the man, not the weight class. All of that weight-class nonsense (as far as what effects it has on the fighters that night) is too subjective and speculative to have a serious discussion.

You've confirmed what I've always thought. Nobody actually thinks Pacquiao has a better resume. They're just enamored by his aggressive fighting style and sympathize with a smaller guy beating bigger opponents and defying the odds.

It's incredible how weight is such a huge factor when Pacquiao batters De La Hoya and Cotto because they were below their weight, but yet weight is then in an irrelevance when it comes to giving Pacquiao credit for beating guys 15lb-20lb heavier than him

38 fights and not one of them against a notable opponent.

That's called resume padding. Pacquaio's record is good NOW, but it was built off of scrubs. People around here say Mayweather hand-picks opponents and fights bums. So what of Acasio Simbajon? Future champ, I'm sure.

Take away Pacquaio's cans and he'd have about 20 some fights.
