Juan had that mastered for years! He's faced other southpaws and the counter right is the perfect punch to answer a jab from the southpaw stance. Juan was looking for that shot and it just so happened to present itself at the last second of round 6 in the 4th fight between him and his nemesis. But fuck if that was the most perfectly executed counter right that I've seen in a long time. Just an incredible job having the vision to see that shot after the punishment he was taking for the previous 5 and a half minutes from Manny.

Wasn't Sexy Sergio sitting right near where Manny fell down unconscious?, I bet he popped a massive boner just witnessing that sweet shot... it must have brought back fond memories of his second fight with P-Will

I am a fan of Pacs (JMM and PBF). Some fans use to talk about how great Manny's footwork was, I always thought it would be his undoing when he faced a great boxer. He always falls in to a rhythm and bounces which is easily timed if you are a top level fighter.
People talk about the feet, one stepping on the other or Pac tripping . . . that's boxing, its all apart of the game. at the end of the day, JMM had a plan, made some minor adjustments, and got the job done with a perfectly time shot. |
