I kind of disagree with him getting in on the first ballot, and I think if he hadn't died he wouldn't have got in straight away, but I don't have a problem with him being in there. He was involved in many great fights and had an unbelievable following in his day. Guys like Gatti don't come around very often.

Didn't Colin 'the cunt' Hart say Mike Tyson shouldn't have been in the IBHOF? I think he did. This cements Hart's cunt status, ****ing idiot.

I don't think Gatti should be a first ballot and go in the same way the likes of Leonard and Duran were.As I said on the general, they should start defining separate categories if being popular and exciting is enough to be a first ballot.
Plenty of people feel the same and I ain't stuck up nor do I give much thought to shit other than taking one in the morning and trying not to step on it when I run in the park.
I loved Gatti but to give him the same sort of induction as Tommy Hearns reeks of over emotional nostalgia and would give an outsider to the sport looking at the HOF the completely wrong impression.
A good idea would be to name a special induction in his honour which specifies that a fighter gets in for entertainment value and/or bravery.

I think Gatti should be in there for entertainment, what he has done for the sport, bravery, punishment he took in the ring. Though I agree SRL, Hearns, Marvin and Duran deserve to be in there Gatti deserves to be in there for sheer guts and turning a generation onto boxing.

Why the ****ing hell is Colin "Old Fart" Hart getting in for? He's a prick.

He used to be the color commentator on FW's Youtube channel whenever they uploaded fights. In them he sounds like he's playing bingo, it's enough to make you put the video on mute his voice is that boring.

ANYONE seen that video from the 90's where Naseem Hamed confronts him after he slagged him off in a article? Hart completely flaps it, Naz proper put the shits up him.

But do you agree that he should be placed on the same level as the guys you mentioned?
They need to start specific categories because first ballot entries should be for potential ATG's only.

As far as British mainstream press boxing journalists go,Hart is near the top of the pile.
Maybe it's down to piss poor competition, but it is true.
