who cares about a tune up vs some random bum? just skip to feb it isn't long away! skip to feb and fight Broner for the biggest payday of your life on the big stage! the chance for fame and glory! easy ****ing option imo, skip the ****ing tune up, your last 5 fights have been tune ups!

Suggesting ducking is ridiculous, as previously pointed out big waz would rather Burns stay in the UK, just imagine for a second that Burns actually beat Broner or even looks impressive against him, Golden Boy would take him instantly.
Also over training would be a risk, this would be Burns' toughest fight by a long way, do you think it's fair he over trains? I personally think it could ruin it, risk injury and underperformance, it could also take some shine off a potential Broner victory in which he would deserve a lot of praise. Burns going up to 135 to duck? Burns is large for 135 let alone 130, just like Broner, apart from Burns went up the proper way, Broner was almost forced similar to Rios (minus the near 120-108 loss) and most Broner fans would see what Rios did as the actions of a classless human being. However I do really want to see this fight just as I'd love to see any of burns Vazquez Broner and Arbil face each other |

Burns is almost 30, has been pro for 11 years and had 37 fights, but yeah, he still needs a couple of tune ups
Everyone prepare for a statement from you know who saying something like "we offered Broner 10 million to come to Glasgow but he clearly didn't fancy it, so in the mean time we are moving on and Ricky is going to fight his much anticipated rematch against Kevin Mitchell." |

You dont think it has anything to do with his promoter ? Do you know anything about the boxing business ? Its f*cking easy to follow fighters like Mayweather & Ward who are never likely to lose. But I love how some fans feel that by following these guys knowing they are never likely to be beat also makes them successful hahah |

been following those two their whole career I like fighters with Skills. I said Ward would win the super 6 before it started. Since I have been on here I said Ward was #2 PFP and people said I was crazy. I have also said Broner would beat anybody put in front of him when people were saying dumb shit like Gamboa and Demarco would beat him. When people were saying Canelo sucks and he struggled with Gomez I said just you watch this kid is unstoppable unless he fights Mayweather

Fair enough but are you seriously saying that you know for certain that Ricky Burns is pleading with his promotoer " pleeeeeeeeeeese DO NOT make a fight with Broner ?? " You dont think , considering W*rrens history it more down to him not making any moves to make the fight ? " When in reality most boxers will fight anyone and most boxers have huge self belief Ducking is such a lazy accusation to throw around |

There are a few people here who clearly have no idea how boxing works for non-HBO superstars and I didn't have you down as one of them. If Ricky fights Broner he'll need a 12 week preparation and his head isn't right with all the ****ing about for Saturday. Why is Broner having any problems getting an opponent for Feb? And as someone pointed out,Ricky's promoter is terrified of Ricky performing well on HBO,as every time that happens he loses his fighter, and for those unfamiliar with the way things work, promoters still have a say in what their fighters do. |
