Hard to really make out what adjustments he's made just from seeing him hit the pads IMO but I think we will see a new Amir Khan in this fight, if he can use that speed properly and remember he doesn't have Jake Lamotta's chin he should be fine.

I notice when he's shadow boxing that he's now working on pivoting more and he's practicing turning the opponent. interesting that they start the padwork off slow, this should help khan be more deliberate in his combinations and less frantic, I do agree with peter that it's hard to see what true adjustments have been made from this footage, it will be very interesting to see what he does when hes in a fight and under a bit of pressure.

Yeah, not much to take from those vids, but you can tell Virgil is tryna' make him more flat-footed and settled - something which Roach was trying to drill in his head. More emphasis is clearly there on defence, with that Ward pad-routine that Khan is looking slightly rusty with at the moment and will need more time to find his feet. Also, he seems to have him working on fighting whilst going backwards (5:30 in the second vid); trying a variety of shots whilst pivoting and creating angles.

Yes, the true extent of his improvements/changes will only be seen when he's back in with the top 140 pounders.

It's good to see Khan actually using his shadow boxing as a time to refine his skills, as opposed to showing off his speed.

Looks more controlled and focused, in the past he goes all out on the mitts with Roach, Hunter looks like has got Khan to slow down and think about what he is doing.
