.... how big of a statement would that be?
Weigh-in: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i3q5Q2LnLw[/ame] Glen, despite being ancient, has never been close to being stopped in most of his outtings. Mind you, I didn't see his last fight. But his showings against Froch and Bute told me he's still durable enough to be a solid opponent for a 15-fight pro. I don't think it would be a massive statement, somewhat similar to Canelo being the first to stop Baldomir. Would be very good for his future promotion though, only boxer besides Hopkins to gain a stoppage over Glen Johnson, something Froch, etc couldn't do.

Groves resume considering he's only had 15 fights is impressive, a win over shot Glen Johnson doesn't mean much, but it serves notice that the Saint means business
Groves won't stop Johnson, no chance |

It will look good, but not a massive statement considering Johnson is well past it now. It will be tough for Groves to stop him though.

Equally i wouldn't be surprised if groves gets sparked out if he thinks he can keep getting away with his non existent defence.

Oh don’t get me wrong, fellas. Not suggesting it would catapult him to the best of the division. Just that it’ll be impressive enough to make people sit up and take notice of him being potentially one of the best in a couple of years?

it would be reasonably impressive and groves can bang, however, he really needs to watch his chin cos it is not the best.

I like what I have seen of Groves. Glenn Johnson should be a nice test for him but the Road Warrior is past his best days and even a stoppage probably won't won't mean too much.

Aye, would make people more aware, hopefully in the UK. He should be DeGale known at the very least at the minute, unfortunately he isn't.
