Baby steps. It's good that he's taking his time. No need to rush and impress the crowd. Fans are fickle. Fighting for yourself is better. If fans like you... good if they don't who cares? They always gonna watch a Khan fight to see if he's gonna get KO'd!

Can't wait to see that Fragile Glass Jaw shattered again. One of the biggest hypejobs in the sport. Khan has no Chin and no Heart. None. |

Slowing everything down, thought he looked okay. What impressed me was the mixing up of speed and power on the pads, Khan was very predictable, always full speed and power...mix it up and your opponent doesn't know when you're going to attack. Khan can be explosive when he attacks, and his speed can surprise his opponents.

you may have a point with his chin but you cant question the dudes heart. this is especially true when you consider that you probably.have never laced up loves and are most likely an obese armchair analyst tugging off to vicious ebony male s&m porn, taking breaks now and then to comment on glass jaws and amir khan.

We will see on fight night how good he is it's no surprise that not everything is fluid he still has to adapt to the new routine but it could be a good sign since it means that something has changed

People talking about glass chin all the time is ridiculous. No matter the amount of training, any fighter gets hit with a certain shot, they will go down. I know it's been said many times, but if you look back at the 4th round against Garcia, he took some big shots on the chin, especially on the ropes. He got caught on the neck with a hook, that's it. He got caught against Prescott with a big punch. I very much doubt that anyone who takes a clean shot from someone who can punch, will go down or get wobbled.
Human bodies aren't some kind of indestructible object that can continuously receive trauma and not be affected. These guys are going out there to K.O each other, and the shots they throw are intended to cause serious damage. I guarantee that if any average Joe stepped in the ring with the best headgear on, took the sort of shots Khan took from his opponents, they would not be standing. Given the chance, I guarantee Paulie Malignaggi would knock out an average Joe with the most protective headgear on. |

That was interesting.
He seemed a bit stiff during the shadowboxing at the start, but the rest of the routines looked pretty good. I don't know much about Hunter, but I liked what he was doing with Khan. He was constantly making him parry shots during the padwork, so Khan is used to defending himself while throwing, which will be particularly important when it comes to dealing with left hooks. I also liked the way they were working on Khan countering the jab with his own double jab (at least, that's what it looked like). Even more surprising was seeing Khan work on fighting while moving backwards, turning his opponent and dealing with pressure. He seems to be extending his left a lot now too, and I'm curious to see how that will work for him in a match. |
