I do not know, Shuler clearly had something going for him after beating Seales in 1982. But he did not step it up again until he beat Kinchen in 1985. Then his management just seemed to chuck him in with Hearns off of that. I get the impression if it was thought Shuler was potentially the real thing, he would of brought along differently.
