Canelo vs Mayweather? Official? - Page 12

Think Canelo's looking to milk his name as much as possible. May be a money-hungry bastard but with the way politics are in boxing I can't blame em. He's still no where near what people make him out to be and we still don't know how good or sucky he is until he steps it up against a solid fighter. Mayweather may be the best now but he's still not a 154 lb'er no matter how many belts he has there.

Still a way better fight than Guerrero-Floyd though lets not make Alvarez into something he's not, calm down and be patient. He hasn't proven he deserves the attention he gets so lets not act like he's some "dangerous" opponent. If Floyd were to beat him with ease he'll just be considered another _____(Insert either green,shot,inexperienced,bum) fighter that Floyd has beaten. Funny how people change their opinions so fast on fighters once Floyd beats em.

Don't get me wrong Floyd is blessed he's in an era of mainly dumbass fighters who don't know fundamentals or what a jab is. Can't knock his ethic or skill he's worked hard to hone both.

People are banking on Alvarez doing amazing things after Floyd whoops his ass. I feel he can have a HOF caliber career. Steer him clear of Austin Trout though

Canelo is going to loose this fight. He should wait until Floyd get a bit older.

u can't blame canelo for taking this fight, floyd is about to be 36.

floyd could fight somebody else on cince de mayo and lose.

We'll see. Have to see him tested first before making quick judgements. He has talent but he's suppose to look talented against grandpas and blown up fighters. This is the type of fight a great fighter should take.

I can actually envision Canelo winning. This is not a walk in the park.

Mayweather vs Guerrero is a garbage fight.

Floyd is defenitely a more skilled fighter, but Alvarez is skilled, punches in combination, is reasonably heavy handed and has a size advantage.

That alone can make this a competitive fight.

The fact Floyd is getting older makes it even more interesting.

However, I doubt this fight will take place. Rarely ever does Floyd fight the guy that people want him to fight.

Floyd will do what's best for Floyd and that's Guerrero.

am i the only one who thinks floyd will expose his weakenesses in the ring?

canelo likes to lung forward with the right hand and has slow footwork imo!

I will admit floyd at 154 always looks slow but maybe its an age thing but even since the mosley fight at 147 I think he has slowed down a fair bit
