Default Re: vince phillips vs lovemore ndou 2004. case for love beating kostya?

Between the world amateur championships in 1989 (where he lost to the gold medalist from the 1988 Olympics) and his loss to Hit Me Hatton in 2005, Tszyu lost one fight - to Cool Vince.

He went into the Phillips fight coming off a farcical contest against Leonardo Mas where he didn't get any rounds in.

During the period 1989 to 2005, Tszyu won the world amateur championship at 139lbs, unified the major world titles as a professional at 140lbs & faced everyone who was willing to face him (amateur & pro).

Could Lovemore have beaten him? No.

a case can be made for ndou being able to hold up to zoo's shots
Cotto was still green when he fought N'dou, also I don't think Cotto hits quite as hard as Tszyu.

Prime Tszyu v Prime Cotto at 140 would have been a great fight.

Tszyu at his best kayos Cotto at his best.

Tszyu was physically tougher than Cotto & punched harder.
