Green is at his best at 175, and Geale is somewhat smaller and unkown at that weight.
OTOH, Geale is faster and has a much broader skill set. Geale flogged Kariuki at SMW, so he can clearly work alright at a slightly higher weight. Whether he can do well at 175 is another matter. I think Geale would school him at SMW, but I'm not 100% sure at LWH. My bias says Geale can still win, but it would be a much harder fight. |

![]() @ Geale vs Green, given Green got a schooling from Mundine and Geale lost to a very close decision (some think he may have even won) i would say that Geale gives Green a schooling big time at Geales weight. |

Ty the question was asked Geale v Grinning Greeny at 175. Imo Geale has always looked like a smallish middle and I have often thought that he should be fighting at 154 myself. He would be fighting a Grinning Greeny who would be 185-190 at fight time. There is no way this fight would be easy/walk over for Geale imo. I would probably favour Grinning Greeny depending on how he looked at the weigh-in.

I think Green is getting a bit under rated here.
Green only campaigned at light heavy for around twelve months between 2006 and 2007 but that followed his entire career fighting / campaigning at 168 plus fighting amateurs at 81kg. Geale is a middleweight but as someone else mentioned a lighter middleweight and fought in the amateurs at welterweight off memory. Both were Olympic quarter finalists if I remember correctly so you have to respect both their amateur background and if they fought at light heavyweight, I'd be surprised if Geale could defeat him at this weight. Super middleweight, maybe a different story, but I'd have my money on Green at light heavy. |
