Default Anyone seen film of a prime Zora Folley

His jab was artistic and smooth as they come, his boxing skills were textbook perfect. Great shape. He was a real good fighter. Too bad most fans only get to few the pudgy soft old folley who fought ali.

Which films shoudl we see?

I did see a bit of Terell in a non-Ali fight, and he looked much better.

I seen the fight with cooper, he looked good there, quite slick, mind you his nickname was 'the scientist'

Despite being old, his timing was very well in the Ali fight. It was even on the scorecards going into the 7th. Too bad he had a glass jaw.

Not long ago they showed Zora in his second fight against Doug Jones. He looked pretty awesome in the first few rounds and then faded and was stopped in the 7th round by Jones. In the first round of this fight Folley had Jones down and almost out. It was a miracle that Jones came back to win. Thanks to Ali, Zora at least finally got his shot at the title that he so richly deserved. What a shame that he hadn't gotten the opportunity earlier in his career. Has anyone ever seen the Liston fight?

I think there are a few clips of the Liston fight on Liston Highlight films.
It only goes 2 plus rounds.

I may can get some input from a fight manager in Dallas and post up that conversation.

The scorecards were even going into the 7th? I think I had it 4-2 for Ali. Amazing, the prime Ali could give up rounds to older / smaller guys.

Apologies, i didn't mean the scorecards were even. I meant that i had it even. Yes, i was surprised as well, though it should be noted that he didn't really seem to go 100%. It's no secret that Ali didn't mind sacrificing a round or two to gauge his opponent.

Somewhere i Have Zora on Tape against George Chavalo and its a one horse race, Maybe George's Style was born to Flatter someone like Zora, but george did give a lot og Good guys a lot of Trouble - but not Zora, Zora matadors George, and Zora's Jab seemed to be quite a spiteful Punch, certainly in this fight, The excellant Jab an intelligent movement kept George monotonously contained round after round
- one of Zora's Better nights no doubt.

Indeed, that was a mighty performance by Zora that night. He pretty much did the same thing to Oscar Bonavena, controlling the tempo of the fight with his jab and Oscar seemed to have no answer for it. He even dumped him on the seat of his pants in the 8th round courtesy of a right hand.
