Link didn't work
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion anyway, surely if you know of 5 Thai boxers you have a decent enough knowledge to make a stab at a list. |

Don’t think we’ve posted this fight yet. If not enjoy & and if we have well let’s enjoy it again!
Two titans of the Golden age Sakmongkol Sithchuchok vs Jongsanan Fairtex in their famous 5th encounter the war of attrition that is simply known as “The Elbow Fight”. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNzaonA9bwc[/ame] This was their 5th meeting in a set of 7. It’s the kind of fight that comes round oh so rarely, the kind of fight that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. The 2nd round has to be a candidate for round of the decade….fuckin insane! The stuff of legend! How Jongsanan recovered in the 2nd and how Sakmongkol’s ribs weren’t battered into pulp in the 3rd and 4th defies therealms of normal physical endurance and only highlights what superhuman fighters these legends were.

That's not s bootleg Flea, that's OneSongchai's series of VCDs. I have the full series. Not all the fights are in full many starting from say round 3 and edited a little but some of the fights are in full and many in the series don't have the original commentary, they have a reminiscent modern commentary that can sometimes yield interesting post fight info. Surprisingly they are the only common series of Muay Thai DVDs and VCDs that are easy to find in Thailand. One in the series is purely a boxing one......,

Sagat Petchyindee
Sakad Petchyindee สกัด พรทวี Born 1958 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 6 time champion (3x lumpinee, 3x Rajadamnern) active through 70s-80s One of the best Thai boxers ever, had massive power in his fist and devastatingly powerful kicks. Good patience, timing, and awareness moved well. wasnt a brawler, he stalked his prey and countered with powerful kicks. but of course his hands were his most dangerous weapon, that right uppercut in particular was deadly as was his lowkick. Muaythai interview at Siamfightingmag [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] so three years after Seansak got his boxing title at junior welter in his third pro bout Sagat, in 1978 challenged for the WBC super bantamweight title in his third pro bout against ATG Bazooka Gomez! He lost by Ko in the third round. Went on to having 11 more boxing matches only losing his last. Captured and defended his regional title. A good boxing career. I cant find any videos of Sagat's boxing matches. Perhaps flea man you can help me? Boxrec record [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Sakad vs Dieselnoi (short clip) A few fights of Sakad opponents unknown Sakad vs Nuongpanom Sakad vs Ronnie Greene Sakad vs Peter Cunningham - another good example why the sidekick is not a good weapon against a seasoned thai boxer. thanks to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for the pics.
