agree absolute cobblers.most of the fighters at heavyweight today are awful east european bums who bruno would eat alive in 3-4 rounds.

I just didn't understand what you were getting at. I know of Tony Tucker and Jose Ribalta but not much apart from the fact the fought Mike (Ribalta fought a few other big names as well). Just what I meant was that nobody until Bruno came anywhere close to beating Tyson. Frank rocked him big in the first round and Tyson had to show real grit and determination to beat him, not just what he normally did which was "punch him once and he'll go down."

That's all I meant by "real fight".

Fury, Haye, Price are all toss up fights. Bruno could so easily be the first fighter to out box David Price, and land big shots! Price could crumble, with rumours of him being fragile

Bruno beats Chisora probably stops him on his feet.

A little too much was made out of Bruno's inability to take a punch, he could take a punch..? but sometimes under heavy bombardment..? He has no survivalist instincts.

Frank Bruno was tougher than people gave hum credit for!

Tyson vs Bruno II was abit unfair to Bruno, he should not of even been aloud to fight. From reading his book, his team conned the doctors at the medical testing procedures.

I agree with that. He took some of Tyson's big single punches on the chin but when he got caught on the ropes and faced a barrage he folded. Perhaps some mental fragility/weakness. It's well documented that he has problems with sort of thing after all.

He learnt them survival instincts against Oliver Mccall though but..? I prefer fighters when they are hurt to get on their bike! instead of grappling and holding.

Bruno did not have the ability like Haye for example! Too get on his bike, when he was hurt!

Allot of heavyweights are sitting ducks once they are hurt, whether its a mental flaw or a physical flaw.

The likes of Price, Fury and Helenius are not in the same league as Bruno. Price is known for being chinny, and if an ancient Matt Skelton could pressure him and rough him, then imagine what Bruno would do.

Robert Helenius would go the same way as Anders Eklund did, and as for Fury, he would be hanging on for dear life the moment he tasted one of Bruno's jabs. In fact Bruno would probably drop him with one.

I know Bruno wasn't the best of heavyweights, but he did pretty well in an era that was a lot tougher than today. Imagine if the three mentioned here were to go against a prime Tyson.

Bruno's chin possibly suffered from poor matchmaking early on in his career, he just never got used to taking punches. Bruno only knew how to put fighters under pressure, it was the Terry Lawless way.
