James Pipps vs Carmelo Negron. A 10 round draw and both guys got 60 day medical suspensions. It was the main event, with Holfield's 7th (I think) fight on the undercard. A tremendous war, I don't think it is on youtube, but buy it if you can find it.

These both get mentioned at least monthly if not weekly....I know I saw them in 2 seperate threads this past week....Great fights, but hardly fit the criteria listed.

I am excited there are several fights I have not seen and a few I have not heard of

Ones not mentioned yet from the 90's...

Sosa-Williams was just brutal.
Ruelas - Pendleton great come from behind effort
Moorer - Botha tough brawl that leaves Moorer with a broken jaw
Morrison - Hipp - even tougher brawl that leaves both fighters half destroyed. Morrison wins with broken hand and jaw
Carbajal - Gonzalez I - Much hyped at the time, not much talked about any more.

badass knockout in that one. great fight

like the ones you listed. moorer was in quite a few good ones....like bert cooper he was both dangerous enough, and vulnerable enough, to keep things fun

i quite enjoyed harada-jofre, gomez-sanchez and chandler-carter as well
