Calzaghe v Pudwill is still the stand out worst ever for me. Why they let that happen I will never know. Total no win position for Joe,he was blameless.

Nathan Cleverly will likely be on this list every year if he stays with FW. 2012 has seen his stock as a champion and fan estimation of him as a fighter absolutely plummet, all because of FW's shitty match-making.

He's become parody of a world champion boxer. An absolute laughing stock to his peers and fight fans. If he values his reputation and legacy at all then he'll dump FW in 2013.

Cleverly won't ever ditch Allegedly.

Very few fighters actually have.

Hatton did, Calzaghe didn't want to but did..... Khan was happy for him to remain promoter by insisting he wanted them to conquer America together, but Allegedly probably wouldn't have it.

Khan fired him and went his own way.

You're right yeah. Cleverly doesn't sound like he has much ambition either, never recall him actually verbally calling out any big name fighters but I have heard him talk about an early retirement a few times.

Even if he does decided to dump Allegedly, old Fish Eyes won't let him go queitly. He tries squeeze every last penny he can get out of fighters leaving him and also stagnates their careers. He's done it recently to Bellew and DeGale. Just a miserable old man of a promoter who is being left behind by the sport.

Hardly surprising, considering he was only selected because he'd not been stretched before.

Even in the pre-fight stuff, Clev would barely stay awake during interviews. Trying to talk him up saying he was tough, ''gave so and so a hard fight'' and was better than Bellew, a harder puncher () and other shit.
the fact there were odds offered is another insult for clec

And where does he go? Sky and their new exclusive promoter?I dont see the difference myself. He aint got the following to go it alone. If he wants exposure I suppose getting on channel 5 would be a start but then you have to have a promoter who can bring you name fighters else what it the point.

Shame really, Clev is a talented kid. Got a lot of raw talent. Can't punch shit, but athletically and offensively gifted.

A promoter who can bring you name fighters? What name fighters has Cleverly fought since winning the belt? His only decent defence was against Bellew who many considered a joke challenger at the time. FW won't ever put Nathan with a good opponent. He won't risk it. Cleverly is his cash cow, he won't risk him losing. He's content with making a tidy amount of money by having Cleverly fight bum of the month opponents in 5000 seater venues. Same situation with Ricky Burns.

Golden Boy seem to like Cleverly. Maybe Nathan could cut a deal with them if he ever decides to leave FW? ****, Nathan's local vicar in the Welsh village where he loves could promote him better than FW has been doing.

Was not saying he was being well looked after, just asking where would you go see him go. Fair play Golden boy would be a good move. I think holding the belt he does is a problem and he should give it up unless one of his next 2 fights is not a unification bout. Rip it up and start again as they say.
