Mustafa Hamsho. One of the best Chins and hearts I've seen took Hagler's punches for two matches. Syrian American born and raised in upstate New York. Not an unfamiliar place but an unlikely one and an even more unlikely background. In fact the Muslim boxers are pretty much all unorthodox in their heritage and stories. Tyson, Ali, Khan (british ****stani), Hamsho, B-Hop (Philly projects), Hamed (educated Yemenese family). Lots of diversity
Among ATG Laszlo Papp. Never got to see him fully but one of the few Eastern European fighters to have a standout name before this generation. Hungarian. Hamid Rahimi, recent middle weight comer up from Afghanistan spent a good bit of his life in Germany. TKO'd Mblewa for WBU Intercontinental. Wish they would hook this guy up with a good trainer. HE has excellent conditioning, solid heart, solid chin, good technique. Last edited by madara; 01-02-2013 at 04:23 PM. |
