If Overeem lands something clean knee wise Cain will break just like anybody else would.
Odds are Cain grinds him down and stops him in the 2nd or 3rd. |

I say Cain over a few rounds by stoppage. I feel Reem is awesome on steriods but without them is not the terror at heavy that he has become. He is really powerful no doubt. Regardless i see Cain fighting a smart fight against Reem and beating the shit out of him. Cain is agile for a big guy. Brock was agile but NOT OK getting hit and regressed over time in many ways because his FEAR of being hit became so obvious. Cain had no fear of getting hit and was thus BLASTED out by JDS and then came back using his fear of being hit to his advantage rather than a disadvandage. Brock therefore in my opinion fought a horrid fight plan against Reem simply having no clue about RANGE. I dont think Cain will make this mistake and will come with a good fight plan against Reem. If Cain makes it past the first round without taking a huge knee etc in a wild first round flurry i see Reem gassing faster than Cain and Cain slowly pounding out Reem more and more until he gets the win.

What I love about the UFC is the Champ will fight the next best opponent! No pussy footing around... Dana will make the Cain-Alistair fight if the reem beats Bigfoot..

It wouldn't suprise me one bit if Alistair has a War with Bigfoot.. What if Antonio wins? LOL Would he get a re-match with Cain?

Only a fighter like Anderson Silva takes so much as Gatorade. Quote:

PRIDE, on the other hand, showed and taught us a thing or two about love and respect. PRIDE never died, and those events are what brought us The Next Generation of fighters out there today (Ben Henderson, GSP, on and on). It's a good time to be a fight fan. Like I said, the World hasn't seen warriors like this since the Gillette Cavalcade of Sports. Not trying to bust balls with that statement either, because 2013 is going to be a Great year for everyone involved! Oh, btw... Crazy #ing avy. I kinda use to hate it because you could troll the fuck outta Mayweather fans, but you are a good egg. Glad to have you. |

Or we'll get to see Cain demolish Big Country since Werdum will be busy with the Ultimate Fighter Brazil. |

You'd think Bigfoot and JDS would then fight for a shot at the title, with Cain fighting someone in the meantime, like Cormier. But doesn't matter because Silva has no chance against The Reem, and really, neither does anyone else.

Yeah no one has a chance against Overeem.. Cain would be a 10-1 underdog against the great Alistair.. Gem of a post Macp1.. |

If Silva can get inside Overeem's striking zone without being hurt or buzzed, he poses some sort of a threat to Overeem, that said Overeem is a wrestler, he has an excellent sprawl, sadly i dont give Silva a great chance here, i will say Silva should not be overlooked in the boxing aspect, Overeem while a striker is a poor boxer, and im talking pure boxing here, head movement, slipping, rolling, putting combinations together, range appreciation ............ for the level of awards he has as a "striker" it really is alarming!
If Silva can poor / plod forward aggressively while maintaining a decent output and take Overeems shots, he could put Overeem in places he cant go at the weight, cardio wise! Can Overeem beat Silva? yes i believe he can and will, thats providing he's still super man off the roids mind you! Velasquez Overeem I said before the JDS fight that Velasquez's stand up is badly under rated, he was a minuscule away from being a "good striker" when JDS flattened him! that was what, 12 months ago? thats a full year of work gone into his game. Overeem is a striker with a good solid all round grappling game, but not even remotely close to Velasquez as a grappler. I honestly believe Velasquez will have a much easier nights work with Overeem than he did with Jr, pace, short compact striking, mixed with aggressive striking from the top position and superior cardio! Velasquez TKO 2 GnP ![]()

And let's see if Reem loses. If he does, he does. Doesn't hurt me. But after that comment you made, you're gonna look like an idiot if he crushes Cain, Bigfoot, whoever they put in the ring with him. Btw, GREAT post. I forgot that friends never fight. Greater post than mine Slugger. |
