Froch got a great record and everyone with any sense knows it but there are some with better. You have to say Ward has for a start, then Marquez, Mayweather ( is he a champion at the moment ?) and Donaire all have. And there a couple of non champs like Pacquaio and Hopkins too.

Froch's resume gets hugely overrated. People here act like he's the only one fighting good opposition. There are numerous active champs and non-champs that have equal or better resume than him. For crying out loud, a Devon Alexander has pit himself against stiffer opposition (and has a better win-loss ratio)...
