![]() I'd have liked to include the El Confesor title defense but it doesn't appear to be televised. I'm guessing it might be shown on wbcboxing.tv but have nothing to base that on. Besides, Canarca is a voluntary defense...more a tuneup for Hernandez, if not an outright mismatch. So it isn't like having to leave off anything too important (which is occasionally necessary when there is a baffling lack of TV coverage for a notable event) Caballero is in the 10-round cofeature on ShoBox and if anybody's name was filled in by last night when the list was made, that would've made it on. I can't in conscience include a "TBA", however...nor is it reasonable to wait potentially all week for them to find someone. |

Both main events on Friday could really swing either way.
Ramos is slick and experienced, big step up for Rios. Williams is a pretty lousy fighter but so is Molina, to be honest. Both rely on their power and usually fairly sturdy chins (both have been rocked and hurt, but only by serious hitters in Lundy and DeMarco respectively...only Molina has been stopped...then again, Williams did get dropped by light fisted Prince Eloy...) with neither having any defensive skill whatsoever. War of attrition, coin flip. If they go the distance, it might be down to work rate and who spends more time impressing the judges by coming forward. Slight edge to Molina there. |
