Both in their primes who takes this fight, what kind of fight do we get? War? Sleepfest? or a classic match of Sweet Science?
I suggest we get a Classic Match of the art inside and out up and down and every which mother fucking way these two would be all that Boxing is about at its very best.... But who wins? and how do you think the fight goes? |

Castillo stops him late. Castillo was an absolute beast at 135.
In his 4 fights at 135, Marquez did not look spectacular in any of them. |

Hard fight for JMM, Castillo was a fucken tank @135.
JLC also took a hell of a punch... JMM can also crack @135. Great style clash which should favor Castillo. But IF any fighter in history can figure out another style and exploit it Marquez is amongst the best of them. For the sake of this thread let's say Castillo hurts Marquez early but Juan holds on & figures JLC out over the next RDs in route to a SD victory. |

This is exactly how I see it Juan survives early lets not pretend that Castillo hasnt had some off moments himself in his career he has been knocked out three times at least prior to meeting Mayweather well stopped. I think this would be an epic fight, not a one sided fight for either guy but the way I see it you will see the best of the sport you will see everything Boxing has to offer in every aspect of the sport hard to pick a winner because both guys are good at what they do they know how to make it their type of fight. There will be so many adjustments in this fight it will be crazy.... |

Marquez by decision. Castillo is a handful for him. He's not quick but he's consistent, always coming forward, throwing to the head and body. Marquez might not come out the same after this fight, but he'd weather the storm early and start to find spots for the sharper punches as the fight goes on. He'll have to work on the inside, but he'd likely try and control the center with lateral movement to avoid getting caught against the ropes too often. He can afford to stand and trade with someone like Diaz for the fans, but not JLC. I see him winning a close, competitive decision.

I'll go off the reservation with this and call it for Marquez, Castillo was a great fighter with power in both hand lot of pressure applied but a tad bit slow. I think this would be down fall with Marquez, Chris John, Manny Pacquioa and Floyd Mayweather were all speedy fighters that gave Marquez his biggest challenges I think that Marquez having good defense and a counter puncher would present a problem for Castillo's face foward attacks. Marquez by majority decision.

Had to cover all options I mean we have had fights before that were supposed to be something that the World Awaits and we all know how that went though I agree with you the odds of that happening are on par with Charlie Zelenoff actually winning a legit fight
