Is Canelo afraid of Trout?

Jus curious to see how the public views this. Canlo is not fighting Trout unless he is gauranteed a Mayweather fight in the fall. Do you look at this as a ducking or as a smart financial decision?

Yes, Trout whipped his brother ass, but I keep hearing about why he wont fight him, do a fighters blood run through Canelo's veins, I think not

His brother is his own man as is Canelo. If Canelo had to take care of his brothers business he would never get around to building his own legacy.

This is why I'm glad he stepped on the mouse glue trap, he can't run no more, if so he gets seen as a fraud and poosibly gets stripped

Canelo is hot right now, and the last thing his handler want is for him to lose or look bad from an unknown .. They'd rather see him lose or look bad a p4p pounder fighter then a contender .. just boxing marketing

DO you know how to read? He needs to build his own legacy not fight boxers just because they beat his brother. I guess Canelo should fight William Gare in South Africa 1st. Afterall thats who his brother 1st lost to in that country. He will face Trout but not because he has beaten his brother unless thats how you qualify for a championship fight .

High-risk, low-reward fight.

Trout doesn't bring in a big fanbse or much casual recognition, so a fight with him wouldn't generate big enough bucks to balance out the probability that he upsets the applecart.

I'm voting yes, as I see the end result is Trout being avoided.

I keep saying Canelo is ducking but I don't actually believe it is Canelo who is doing the ducking I think he will fight anyone but Golden Boy or his advisors are definitely avoiding people.

well, tbh I like Canelo but seriously he doesn't deserve to be in the first 5 jr MW's or to be consider a boxing star. I mean he didn't fight with at least one of these guys, like Angulo , Lara, Kirkland or Vanes !
I know that GBP wants to match carefully their golden goose with shot/small ww's / jr MW's but c'mon GBP should let Canelo to fight with Trout if they want that their fighter to have some credibility !

to answer to the thread question : No , I don't think that Canelo is scared to fight Trout or even with Martinez ! GBP are way too protective with Canelo

He just wants that cash, why would he be afraid? If the Trout fight would give him a bigger payday you can bet your ass he would be all over Trout. He's not afraid of getting hurt or losing that 0, otherwise he wouldn't be calling out the p4p #1.
