Mayweather is PURE SHIT compared to the all time defensive mastercraftsman in Sweetpea & you never saw sweetpea duck any challenge in his life either, unlike that cherry picking bag of shit mayweather.... Whitaker would dismantle mayweather & pick him apart, he'd humiliate him, floyd would think he's being raped by a boxing octopus It's a Pernell shutout or TKO or disqualification when Floyd jumps out of the ring such would the gulf in class expose mayweather Now **** off
I love your rants.

they too are on my list to watch soon.

If I remember the first one was very very close and could have gone either way but the second Whittaker edged.

It seems these are the fights that pretty much ended Whittaker's prime.

I might even watch them both tonight

Whitaker was pretty much officially past his prime by the time he came back down from the Vasquez fight (he didn't even look especially good in that one for my money, much too soft around the middle, too). The De La Hoya fight was his last hurrah, though. The last time he actually made a great showing.

I remember both being close and that is why I certainly have to make them my next fights to offer a final score on. Although I do believe him to be past prime by these fights.

Rivera was a pretty quality fighter, gave Mosley and Vargas good fights, made them struggle a bit but ended up being let down by his durability in the face of their power.

I will never ever get tired of watching Pernell Whitaker. Anyone who reads my posts knows that I hold him in the highest regards.
When it comes to pure boxing skills my opinion is that only Benny Leonard was better. From what I can tell Whitaker was a little more fluid than Leonard, while Leonard was a little more tactacal than Whitaker.
You can't really compare Whitaker and Mayweather. This is not a slight to Mayweather. They are completely difrent boxers. Whatiker is a fluid defensive master. Mayweather is a cunning counter puncher.
