Australian's pride themselves on being a sporting nation and having good results in the sporting arena, our boxers included. Despite this only a small amount of our talented athletes have participated in boxing. Anthony Mundine has been the most successful and well known Australian athlete who crossed over from another sport and had success as a boxer.
Which other athletes in Australian sporting history do you feel could of crossed over or if they had chosen boxing as their selected sport as a youth could of had success as a pugilist and what weight would you have them fighting at. The characteristics I would be looking for in an athlete would be; athleticism, speed, power, courage, discipline and a will to win. Two examples I can think of from Rugby League would be John Sattler and Mal Meninga. |

In all seriousness, its difficult to say, as no other sports require you to throw a punch nor take one.
If GI was able to integrate his elusiveness into boxing, and proved to have somewhat of a study chin, he may go alright, but again, I've never seen him throw a punch etc |
