Ian Roberts though, he could throw a punch, used to do bagwork as part of his training before it became trendy...I reckon he could have gone alright in boxing <cue "ring" jokes>

Ian Roberts was overrated in the fighting department..... Johnny Lewis put a huge rap on him and we all know not to listen to that goose when it comes to wrapping a footballer in the ring potentially.

I heard a copy of stories where Roberts was involved in a few sparring sessions and was average when push came to shove

John Steffensen was born in Perth

He was apparently a golden gloves champion over there in his youth and after the London Olympics, Steffensen trained with and alongside Jeff Fenech, Danny Green, Vic Darchinyan and Kostya Tszyu. So he has got some pedigree, and he's more than handy with his mouth as well.
