So...who the fuck are these people?

This might be the first lineup for which I recognize absolutely nobody.

Actually, I take that back.

I've seen Mark Thompson before, on the Povetkin vs. Rahman undercard against Jack Culcay.

In fact, he got off to an impressive start and was up on my card 39-37 at the time of the stoppage...which was a bullshit stoppage.

It's him, another relative "veteran" in 16-1-2 (1 knockout) Rob Hunt, and a half dozen greenhorns with single digit unbeaten records.

theirs 6 unbeaten fighters trying to get their name out their id rather hav a line up of hungry young lads trying to make their name than the old men trying to re-live old days gone passed. watch out for ste pearce he loves a tear up

Thompson has a great chance in this and his style should suit, I also quite like Gaynor he has decent sparring with Brook and must have a chance and the competition should suit Pearce who as stated comes forward and throws plenty.

ive herd its on ringside but also that its at the weigh-in on friday got to one of those unless its in the ring at the start i prefer that

Yeah, I'm for that (especially in contrast to having Harrison and Rogan in next month) but generally you'd expect to have at least heard of a prospect or two.

I mean, I follow the British domestic scene about as much as any Yank and have never once encountered so much as passing mention of the names Eggington, Cooper, Gaynor, Evans, Foot, or Pearce.

Between the eight men in, I've seen all of one fight. A bit unusual is all.

the problem is their isnt as much coverage on tv now sky only deal with matchroom so less chance to see these lads. cooper eggington and pearce are all midlands lads i dont know much about the others so it makes it more interesting to watch im going and looking forward to it. #teampearce (a mate of mine)

So you've caught them on local shows? Think Pearce or the other two have a real crack at the Betfair trophy?

Mind you, Thompson is a big obstacle. Not only is he the most seasoned of the field, he struck me as being a pretty good fighter who could maybe compete at Commonwealth or Euro level. He got shafted against Culcay, and so I'll probably be cheering him on to collect the £32,000.

Glenn Foot is a good fighter who can bang, seen him few times and is fun to watch.
